Geelong is surrounded by a number of wine regions, all with their own distinct character.
The three sub-regions are:
The Moorabool Valley and Anakie, a sub region of Victoria's renowned Geelong Wine Region, is located only an hour away from Melbourne and just 20 minutes from Geelong. The Moorabool Valley represents one of Australia's finest cool climate wine regions with a fast growing reputation for boutique wineries producing premium hand crafted wines.
A visit to the Moorabool Valley is a very local experience and you are likely to be served at the cellar door by the wine maker himself.
Pick up a Moorabool Valley Wine map at any of the Visitor Information Centres.
